Hey pals, how are you all doing? We're heading off today for a lovely weekend in North Yorkshire with some friends and I am very excited to drink gin and sit in the hot tub. It's been a rather eventful week; I've gone back to work one day a week until April, when Benjamin will be going to nursery and I'll be going back 'properly'. It was lovely to be back, although I fear the novelty will wear off when I'm juggling work and baby care on a more regular basis. Benjamin has also been teething (we think) and had a few nights of regular screaming fits, which has been rather exhausting, for all of us. Fingers crossed it doesn't last too much longer! We've also had a bunch of birthdays in our midst, so I've been busy buying presents, baking cakes and generally celebrating - and getting very excited about my own birthday treats later in the month! What have you been up to?
- Kate has such a beautiful home, and I'll be plundering her recommendations for prints for our rooms!
- This photo series of Disney princesses as queens, modelled by real life mothers and daughters, is really quite beautiful.
- What's it like to be part of a blogger couple? Having someone to take cute Instagram snaps of you is definitely appealing!
- I finished Dolly Alderton's book this weekend and it is simply a stunner. Pre-order it now and do February You a favour.
- Sam shows us why having anxiety shouldn't hold you back from travelling and experiencing the world. I felt as though she was speaking straight to me - is this the year I get over my travel anxiety?! This will be helpful, too: How to Make Travelling with Kids Less Stressful
- As you may know, I'm trying to eat less meat this year so these Vegetarian Swedish Meatballs and this Vegan Bean Chilli are on my 'must cook' list.
- I get so giddy about all the new books coming out every year - this list will definitely grow your TBR!
- I think it might be time for me to invest in some new loungewear - inspired by this loungewear capsule.
- And when I have some beautiful loungewear (or maybe just in my regular pyjamas), I can do nothing, productively. You have no idea how appealing that is to me.
- Siobhan's beautiful, thoughtful blog is one of my favourites and her musings on becoming a mother are just gorgeous.
