So, I'm back! The last three weeks have been a whirlwind of finishing first drafts, entertaining guests and enjoying The Mustard Pot pub garden. I've been thinking a lot about this blog, and the kind of direction that I want it to go. On the one hand, I like the escapism that writing about food and lifestyle topics afford, but then I read something by Rachel White, Rachel Hills or Kate Fridkis, and I want to be better. I want to write something with more substance. I'm still not sure how to marry the two - or whether their differences are irreconcilable. Blog-related existential crises aside, it's been a lovely relaxing time for me this week; I've been going to yoga classes, trying new facemasks and spending time with people that I love. It's a glimpse of life post-Masters degree and I cannot wait!
Last weekend, this lovely lot came to stay. We were all piled on top of each other in our little flat, so we headed out to The Mustard Pot for the afternoon. It's truly the best place to be on a sunny Saturday - bunting, plentiful outside seating and a little Beagle puppy to pine over. Oh, and two little cuties with chubby cheeks to chuckle.
A truly perfect weekend. I even read a whole book. What have you all been up to whilst I've been gone?
