Leeds Fashion Show

On Friday I got my glad rags on ready for a cheeky Yo Sushi with the beautiful Eloise, and to check out the Leeds Fashion show, aptly named Dress Me Beautiful. I am so in love with these trousers (even though I've had to roll them up by about five inches!), the print is really unique (I think it's dalmatian?).

Dress Me Beautiful was a rather glitzy and glamorous affair, and I actually felt rather under-dressed despite the snazzy trousers! The Town Hall is a gorgeous venue, and the grandeur of the building contrasted so deliciously with the uber modern and slick design of both the catwalk and the clothes going down it. I've never been to a real life fashion show before, and I was struck by the atmosphere more than some of the designs. The music, in particular, was fantastic.

My favourite designer of the evening was perhaps the first, Claire Baxter, a little ludicrous and over-the-top as fashion should be - models in structured jackets, bondage-style underwear, animal ears and feather headdresses.

I also really enjoyed the collections by Lisa Jayne Dann - beautiful, heritage inspired dresses and jackets (including a full-skirted coat which was just divine) to start, and lacy, backless evening gowns to finish the evening.

I'll definitely be going back, and paying for a better seat next time! Oh, and remembering my camera - I really need to get better at that, I'm supposed to be a blogger after all!
